R&R Amendment: Commercial Vehicle Definition

We have clarified the definition of a Commercial Vehicle in our R&Rs to reflect homeowner feedback and comments as follows:


For purposes of compliance (CC&Rs – Section 7.17), “Commercial Vehicle” shall be defined* as any vehicle which:


§  bearing a commercial license, but not limited to, tank trucks, any dump truck, cement mixer truck, oil and gas truck, delivery truck, or any vehicle transporting and/or storing toxic substances, vehicles having more than 2 (two) axles, any vehicle which weighs more than 10,000 pounds, or any vehicle with a mounted camper shell which protrudes from the truck from either side or from beyond the rear gate or above the cab ceiling;
§  has a chassis with a capacity of 3/4 ton or larger, such as flatbed trucks, tow trucks, tractor-trailer rigs, and the like;
§  carries equipment, tools, or materials, related to a business which are visible from outside the vehicle such as ladders, pool supplies, plumbing equipment or materials, construction materials, landscape equipment or materials, etc.
§  is over 18 feet in length, bumper to bumper.

Please note that parking of commercial vehicles in Mendocino is prohibited; violations are subject to fines.
